FULL DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE

TRANSCRIPTS & DAILY EVIDENCE

ABBREVIATIONS USED

Extensive documentary evidence has been provided to the Inquiry by a number of people and organisations. Where this is relevant to the Inquiry’s remit, such documentation will be placed on the Inquiry website for the information of the public. Where documentation is referred to during the public evidence sessions, there will be an electronic link to it placed in the transcript for ease of reference.

The presumption is that documents should be made public unless there are compelling reasons to the contrary. If the Inquiry is provided with documents which the provider does not wish to enter the public domain, the Inquiry team will discuss its status and the reasons for withholding with the provider. If the team and the provider agree that particular material is not relevant to the Inquiry’s remit, or cannot be published, it will not appear on the website. In such circumstances the team will have seen the material and have reached a view about its relevance and the alleged need for it to be withheld, or otherwise. Where it is agreed that any material should not be published, an explanation of the reasons for that decision will be given in each case.
