COUNSEL APPOINTED


THE advocate who will lead the questioning of witnesses at the Holyrood Inquiry has been named.

Lord Fraser has appointed John D Campbell, QC, as Counsel for the Inquiry, which will begin with a preliminary hearing on Friday 12th September.

Mr Campbell, educated at Gordonstoun and the University of Edinburgh, was called to the bar in 1981, to the English bar in 1990 and appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1998.

He is well regarded as a specialist in planning and construction law.
Mr Campbell said he was honoured to be chosen and intends to act fully in the interests of the Scottish people when questioning witnesses.

He added: “My job is to help Lord Fraser to get all the facts surrounding the Holyrood project.”
