POLITICIANS TO FACE INQUIRY The Holyrood Inquiry will take evidence in public from its first witness on Tuesday 28 October at 2.00 pm at 1 Grosvenor Crescent, Edinburgh. The opening week’s evidence will concentrate on the period following the General Election of 1997, the Devolution White Paper and up to and beyond the Devolution Referendum of September 1997. Giving evidence in the first week will be former First Minister Henry McLeish, Wendy Alexander MSP, Brian Wilson MP and former Minister Sam Galbraith. Also scheduled to give evidence in the opening three days is former advisor to Donald Dewar, Lord Elder and former Parliamentary Under Secretary of State Lord Sewel. Among the Civil Servants appearing in the first week will be former Scottish Office Permanent Secretary Sir Russell Hillhouse. Members of the public can apply to attend via the form on this web site
