Speaking only yards away from the Holyrood site as work continued on the new Parliament building Lord Fraser gave a robust commitment that his inquiry would be thorough and as open as possible. He said he was determined to get to the truth into how costs rose to £375million. Lord Fraser revealed details of a website (www.holyroodinquiry.org) which has a secure e-mail option to provide an opportunity for whistleblowers to pass on information. The Auditor General said he would be giving his full support to Lord Fraser throughout the Inquiry. Later in a question and answer session both Lord Fraser and Robert Black answered detailed questions about the Inquiry. Lord Fraser said he hoped
to publish an interim report by the middle of next year if the Parliament
building is completed to schedule.
